The Dhaka University Admission Circular for 2024 has been released, and the DU Admission Form can be completed via the admission.eis.du.ac.bd website. The website also facilitates payment of the admission test fee.

The prospectus, which includes eligibility requirements and other application information for KA, KHA, GA, and CHA Units, has been published along with the DU Admission Notice. This year, for the first time, admission tests will be conducted at the divisional level, and the schedule for unit-based admission tests has been published.

Applicants must obtain their admit card from the admission website on the designated date. A detailed seat plan will be released before the admission test. At the end of each unit’s admission test, the results will be announced, and admission activities will be carried out from the merit list and waiting list.

At Dhaka University, retaking the admission test is not allowed except for candidates who are improving their grades. To be eligible for undergraduate admission in 2023-2024, applicants must have passed the SSC or equivalent exam from any education board between 2016 and 2019 and must have passed the HSC or equivalent exam in 2021 from any education board or the Bangladesh Open University. Candidates who have passed the “A” level and “O” level exams are also eligible to participate in the admission test. It should be noted that the GHA-Unit (Group Change) of Dhaka University admission has been canceled for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Dhaka University Admission Requirements

To be eligible for unit-based applications at Dhaka University, applicants must meet the required qualifications for the unit they are applying for. The eligibility criteria for each unit are as follows:

KA-Unit: This unit is for Science and Agriculture. Applicants must have a minimum total GPA of 8.50 in their Secondary and Higher Secondary (or equivalent) exams, with at least 3.50 in each separately. GPA will be calculated with the 4th subject. Additionally, candidates must fulfill the qualifications prescribed for the department if they wish to be admitted.

KHA-Unit: This unit is for those who have passed the HSC and equivalent level from the Humanities group. Applicants must have a minimum total GPA of 8.00, with a minimum GPA of 3.00 in each of the SSC and HSC or equivalent levels separately. GPA will be calculated with the 4th subject. In some cases, applicants must fulfill the condition of the number/grade prescribed by the unit.

GA-Unit: The GA-Unit is for the BBA program, but it is not the IBA BBA of Dhaka University. Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary or equivalent Business Studies, Diploma-in-Business Studies, and Business Management exams can apply. The minimum total GPA for the GA-Unit is 8.00, with a minimum GPA of 3.50 in each of the SSC and HSC levels. GPA will be calculated with the 4th subject.

GHA-Unit: The GHA-Unit is the Faculty of Social Sciences, and candidates from all groups, including science, business studies, and humanities, can apply. However, applicants must meet the minimum qualifications of their respective groups. GPA will be calculated with the 4th subject, and the application will not be accepted if any subject has a grade point below “B” (grade point 3.00) in the higher secondary or equivalent exam.

Humanities group students must have a minimum total GPA of 8.00 and 3.00 separately in each of the SSC and HSC levels.

Business studies group students must have a minimum total GPA of 8.00, with a minimum GPA of 3.50 in each of the SSC and HSC levels separately.

Science group students must have a minimum total GPA of 8.50, with a minimum GPA of 3.50 in each of the SSC and HSC levels separately.

CHA-Unit: The CHA-Unit is the Faculty of Fine Arts, and students from any group can apply. Applicants must have a minimum total GPA of 7.00, and at the SSC level, they must have a minimum GPA of 3.50.

DU Application Eligibility 2024

How to fill out the DU Admission Form?

To apply for Dhaka University Admission Requirements, candidates must fill out the application form online on the admission.eis.du.ac.bd website. Along with the four scheduled banks, applicants can pay the application fee through various mobile banking services such as Rocket, bKash, Nagad, and SureCash, or via Visa, Master, or American Express debit or credit card.
